У найскладніший період для держави й транспортної галузі Олексій Семерунь очолив Федерацію та зберігає впевнений курс на її розвиток і зміцнення як на національному, так і на європейському рівнях. Як член Виконавчого комітету Європейської федерації транспортників (ETF), він послідовно відстоює позицію українських працівників і розвиває міжнародну взаємодію.
