Law No. 4793-IX of February 25, 2026, “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On One-Time Financial Assistance for Harm to Life and Health Caused to Employees of Critical Infrastructure Facilities, civil servants, and local government officials as a result of the Russian Federation’s military aggression against Ukraine”

On March 10, 2026, the President signed Law No. 4793-IX of February 25, 2026, “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On One-Time Financial Assistance for Harm to Life and Health Caused to Employees of Critical Infrastructure Facilities, civil servants, and local government officials as a result of the Russian Federation’s military aggression against Ukraine” (Bill No. 14303). The law shall enter into force on the day following the date of its publication.

The adopted changes are intended to simplify the process of receiving benefits for individuals who have been injured in enemy attacks while performing their official duties, as well as for the families of critical infrastructure workers who have been killed.

The Federation of Transport Workers' Unions of Ukraine, which supported and oversaw the adoption of the document at every stage of the process, thanks the drafters and members of parliament and calls on the executive branch to immediately adopt all necessary regulations to ensure that the law takes full effect.
