Oleg GRYGORIUK, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Transport Trade Unions of Ukraine, was reelected Chairman of the MTWTU on June 11, 2026, for the next five years.

He received unanimous support from the delegates to the 9th Congress of the Trade Union Marine Transport Workers’ of Ukraine, representing the primary trade union organizations of the MTWTU.
Oleksiy SEMERUN’, Chairman of the Federation of Transport Trade Unions of Ukraine and Chairman of the Trade Union of Railwaymen and Transport Construction Workers of Ukraine, congratulating his colleague, noted: “The MTWTU is a true example of a modern European trade union in Ukraine, with its own services for members, educational projects and legal support, as well as effective representation and protection.”
At the same time, this is a labor union with a history spanning more than thirty years, in which values and influence are consistently passed down from one leader to the next, ensuring continuity and growth.
You have a powerful voice that is heard by both employers and representatives of various branches of government. And thanks to your active international engagement and membership in leading international organizations, Ukrainian seafarers can seek protection virtually anywhere in the world.

The “Mortrans” Charitable Foundation serves as a model of effective support for employees, their families, retirees, and students, thanks to which union members can always count on assistance in difficult life circumstances.
MTWTU has created a true community of like-minded people. It unites, protects, helps, and supports.
Therefore, may the results of the 9th Congress serve as the foundation for the continued success of the Trade Union Marine Transport Workers’ of Ukraine!».
The resolution adopted by the Congress delegatesat a time when Ukraine has been living under conditions of full-scale war for more than four years, and maritime industry workers face new challenges and risks every day – demonstrates confidence in Oleg GRYGORIUK, his team, and the course the MTWTU is currently pursuing.
After all, during this time, the Union has not only maintained its active role in defending the rights of seafarers, port workers, and maritime transport workers, but has also strengthened international cooperation, implemented large-scale social projects, expanded support for Union members and their families, and continued to represent the interests of Ukrainian transport workers at the national and international levels.
